Netmeds CEO Pradeep Dadha adopted the Elliots Beach in Chennai this year calling upon the entire Netmeds workforce to join hands and transform the famed beach into a paradise again. Netmeds took up this initiative to create awareness on cleanliness and contribute to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Dadha received a personal, signed request from Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the ‘Swachhata hi Sewa’ initiative by NITI Aayog and immediately took to the task.
The team began at 8:00 am on October 02, 2017 commemorating Gandhi Jayanthi. At least hundred Netmeds staff descended on the beach and raked it for every sort of debris, refuse and waste. The company has adopted the theme, SwachhSwasthHai, SwachhSundarHai, Swachh Bharat for the first phase of its initiative and intends to do more clean-up events throughout the year.
In the announcement of the ambitious event, Dadha stated, “Sanitation is one of the key elements to a healthy and happy life. We hope to set an example for positive habits that lead to the creation of a cleaner and greener India. We are grateful to the honourable Prime Minister for displaying his confidence in Netmeds by making us a part of this important national movement for cleanliness”.
