    Chance for city kids to be in the saddle this summer
    The camp will be held within the premises of the trust in Velachery and will be open for children above three years. There will be two courses, the intro and the foundation. “In the intro course, children will be trained in safety and how to move around horses and ponies, maintain balance on horseback while riding” Dhananjai G, the secretary of the trust, told DT Next on Saturday. He said that as part of the foundation course, students would be taught about safety and tacking up the horse during the ride (putting the saddle and bridle) and un-tacking. They would also be trained in identifying different markings on the horse/pony, given tips on horse care – pony/horse grooming, feeding carrots, oats, and other eatables. “Children below 12 will ride a pony during the camp,” Dhananjai added. As part of the intro course, kids would also be...
